Urban Gardening Position!

One Valley, Inc., a non-profit organization in NW Roanoke, is offering a part-time contractual position for an Urban Agriculture Trainee/Manager who will work with one of our community gardens. The position includes a one-day a week apprenticeship with Lick Run Farm. The 30 hours/week are flexible, with a monthly contractor’s fee of $1,800. This position starts on July 1st and is currently funded through November 2024, with the possibility of continuing during the next planting season from March through November 2025. Prior gardening experience would be helpful along with an attitude to learn more about urban farming.
